Every year, more than 11 million tons of plastic waste are washed into the ocean, partly originating from our daily habits. Beaches gradually lose their pristine beauty as plastic bags, bottles, and household waste are left scattered across the sand.
Facing this alarming reality, The Body Shop Vietnam continues the “Beach Clean Up 2025” with the support of MLifeOn, calling on the community to join hands in cleaning the shoreline and raising awareness about protecting the marine environment.
The ocean is crying for help
The ocean, a cradle of life that sustains millions of species and supports the livelihoods of coastal communities, is under severe threat. According to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), more than 11 million tons of plastic enter the ocean each year, and this figure is projected to rise further in the coming years if no decisive action is taken.

Discarded plastic bags, bottles, and other waste do not simply disappear. They break down into tiny microplastics that infiltrate marine organisms and eventually return to the human food chain. This pollution not only disrupts ecosystems but also directly threatens the livelihoods of coastal communities.
The ocean is crying for help and needs all of us to join hands.
Beach Clean Up 2025 - A Journey for a Greener Ocean
For the past 10 years, The Body Shop Vietnam has been committed to organizing the annual Beach Clean Up Day, carrying forward a journey dedicated to protecting our marine environment.
In 2025, the journey reached Phuoc Tinh Beach in Long Hai Commune, Ba Ria Vung Tau Province, where more than 200 volunteers including employees, customers and local residents joined hands to collect every piece of trash and bring back the freshness of the shoreline.

Through the “Beach Clean Up” initiative, employees of The Body Shop Vietnam not only took part in collecting waste but also had the opportunity to reflect on the connection between people and the environment, as well as the long-term impact of everyday lifestyle choices. This year, with communication support from MLifeOn and M&M Communications, that green spirit has been spread more strongly to many young people.
MLifeOn joins hands to spread the green message
For MLifeOn, taking part in Beach Clean Up 2025 was an opportunity to listen to the voice of the ocean and to help raise awareness of environmental protection. Every image and every story captured from this journey serves as a reminder that “even the smallest action can lead to meaningful change.”
By joining the campaign, MLifeOn hopes that such meaningful activities will inspire the community to live in closer harmony with nature. Protecting the environment does not begin with grand gestures, but with the simplest everyday actions.
Conclusion
Beach Clean Up 2025 reminds us that even the smallest actions can drive meaningful change. For MLifeOn, it is a journey of planting seeds of environmental awareness and nurturing hope for a cleaner, healthier ocean in the future.
